Why Stronghold was created

Our founders were given the responsibility to develop the Active Threat and Hostile Event Integrated Response Program and training curriculum for our community. The mindset and training methodology resulted in the program's expansion incorporating all regional stakeholders. These skillful responders are prepared and trained to ACT in response to active crises. 

As the program developed, it became clear our first responders were only effective once notified and on scene. We identified a critical gap between the onset of the incident and the arrival of first responders, where no life-saving actions were taking place. This gap needs to be addressed by recognizing that everyday people are the first line of defense during an active threat and they must have the capability to save lives until advanced help arrives.

This realization led us to start Stronghold. Our goal is to empower individuals and organizations with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to effectively respond to and survive active threats and emergencies through comprehensive preparedness programs.
